New Call for research proposals by CCMX

The Swiss Competence Centre for Materials Science and Technology (CCMX), Education and Research Unit «Materials for the Life Sciences» (MatLife) has launched (15 July 2009) a new call for pre-competitive research proposals in collaboration with industrial partners, which could be from interest also for SystemsX.ch scientists. We would like to encourage researchers to submit a collaborative Outline Proposal by 15 September 2009, 12:00 latest. The call addresses five Thematic Areas, listed below. CCMX funds research projects of high scientific quality and innovativeness to be conducted in close collaboration with industrial companies. Project duration is typically three years. Although PIs have to be affiliated with ETH Domain Institutions or CSEM Neuchâtel, participation and funding of researchers at other Swiss organizations, in particular Swiss Universities, is possible.

If you are interested in this call, we would like to recommend that you contact potential industrial partners as early as possible. The industrial partners will have to sign and submit by 15 September 2009 a Letter of Intent.
