SystemsX.ch: Peter Kunszt named Project Manager for SyBIT

We are pleased to announce that Peter Kunszt will be the new Project Manager for SyBIT, the SystemsX.ch IT-Backbone. In this position, Kunszt will be responsible for building an IT structure that is able to integrate the various SystemsX.ch projects, manage the leveraging of data information, and coordinate the specific needs across the various RTDs and institutions in Switzerland.  Peter Kunszt has several years of experience in leading application and service development projects and in providing support for operations in complex distributed infrastructures. From 2001 to 2006, he was a staff member at CERN  in Geneva. Since February 2006 Kunszt has been working at the CSCS ˆ Swiss National Supercomputing Center in Manno, Ticino. Kunszt studied Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry at the University of Bern and speaks German, Swiss German, Hungarian, English, French, Italian, and Spanish. He will be based at the SystemsX.ch Management Office and report to the SEB (Scientific Executive Board). Peter Kunszt will relocate from Manno to Zürich with his family in 2009 and start in his new role as soon as possible.
