Toward InkJet Printing of 3D Tissue Model

At present, printing approaches are under the spotlight in tissue engineering because of their ability to accurately pattern biomaterials. More specifically, the high resolution, reliable droplet generation, and biocompatibility of inkjet printing make it particularly interesting for replicating tissues.

My project consists in a mixture of engineering, material science and biology. First aim of my project is the characterization of a custom-made inkjet regarding biological purposes. In a second phase, a new printable matrix has to be designed to fulfill a precise table of requirements. And finally, tissue constructs production issue can be address with previously developed tools.
