SystemsX.ch Retreat 2016 – register now!

The registration for the SystemsX.ch Retreat 2016 is now open. The four-day course will focus on career development for young scientists and will take place from May 24-27, 2016 in Münchenwiler, Switzerland. The goal of this workshop is to give participants a competitive edge in the job market. Target audience is PhD students and postdocs of the SystemsX.ch community.

Young scientist travel grants for SBHD 2016

The International Conference on Systems Biology of Human Disease (SBHD) is scheduled for June 14-16, 2016 at the Broad Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts. SystemsX.ch is one of the event’s sponsors and is offering five travel grants for PhD students and postdocs. To be eligible for a grant, you must present a poster at the conference. The grants will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.

New FAIRDOM Webinar series

FAIRDOM launched the 2016 series of Webinars for Data and Model Management Practice in the Interdisciplinary Life Sciences. These interactive web-seminars allow communication between the lecturer and participants. Everyone who has data or models to manage is invited to join, be they students, researchers, project investigators, lab managers, institutions, publishers or data providers.

New systems biology online journal

Npj Systems Biology and Applications is a new, fully open access online journal dedicated to publishing top research with a systems-oriented approach. The journal aims to provide a forum for the presentation of articles that help define this emerging field, as well as those that apply recent advances to wider fields.
